Another book brought to our attention, A Tribute to the American Sailor, honors enlisted men and women of the US Navy, with 140 personal experience stories, photos and cartoons. It is available for $24.95 plus $3.50 s/h, from Sharrow Publications, 1040 Stoney Creek Rd., Dauphin, PA 17018. - Dolores Book Review We Band of Angels by Elizabeth M. Norman This is is the untold story of American nurses trapped on Bataan and captured by the Japanese. The first question everyone asks when they learn I am reading the book is "Were they sexually molested?" According to their story, the answer is NO, the Japanese had other means of torture...such as starving the prisoners. When liberated, they were walking skeletons. This book is well researched which makes for very interesting reading. It is not light reading, and the footnotes kept me busy. It is not a romance, but a true rendition of the horrors of war. Reviewed by AnnMarie Amthor
